Currently in the process of researching house styling from the 1950's era, looking into furnishing & Decorative materials, it seemed to be quiet a minimal era, everything was very organised. I found a few images of dining room styles back then to suit what we are trying to reproduce.
from exploring the era, table wise it seems either a square tables with rounded edges or completely circle tables mostly draped over with a table cloth covering to about half way between the top of the table & the bottom, very lairy looking curtains
all the way down to the floor & mostly drawn closed, to keep the privacy of the meal between family. in some cases area's are very art deco, streamline furnishing or quiet a farm feel, the curves of the arms on the chair and workmanship in the back support. colours are very bright, light greens & blues, seem to be what we use in a bathroom in today's era. I still nee to work on cutlery and other aspects of the table decorations.
