Indre serpytyte.

A friend of mine hooked me up with a photographer called Indre serpytyte.

http://www.indre-serpytyte.com/

he shot a series of photographs, of items that belonged to his father.
I cant really word the way he explained his story, he doesnt speak about the photographs, just wanted happened.

the piece of writing reads:

The lithuanian papers wrote that it was a "Painful misfortune (a catastrophe)",
when the head of Goverment Security died.

Albinas Serpytis died in the early hours of the 13th of october 2001, in a "car accident".

No one seemed to know the details, or circumstances, or provide straightforward
answers. His death was permeditated and brutal.

All that remains is silence, unknown circumstances. Hiiden motivations. A chilled absence.

This was my father. The subject of my indefatigable investigations.

I didnt really know how to read it, Im not sure if he deals with it in the same way I did when I lost my dad, I base quiet alot of my projects around my dad because I dont want to forget him.

Im not sure if its something im alloud to base my brief around as its not something around the outside would that bothers me, its more personal.

the photos to me feel like he respected his dad with out most love, he was a well oranigsed man, who kept himself organised at all times. his lighting is just so deep, everything can still be made out so nicely against the black backdrop.

Im not sure if the black reads as death, but it certainly creatives a mood.
