Image deconstrction tast - Steffi Kleinz ( Waste )

First to talk a little bit separately about each photographer, starting with ' Finlay MacKay '  His image of David Weir, for the series of images, the road of 2012.
digitally shot images on a Hassleblad showing olympic athletes in there training grounds, both Motion images & portraits. He concentrates on the landscape just as muchas the sitter showing there interactions with the surroundings and how it fits with there area of sport. in his work there is a lot of use with flash, This image including the rest of the series are using what looks like large amounts of flashing lighting to gain the vast feeling and nice saturation & contest.

This image is by Toby Glanville, from the series ' Actual life ' Capturing moments that look unplanned & very natural, using the light given from the window, casting the slight shadowing on the right side of her face and the patterns from the blinds splashing against the inboard. The way she holds her hands together give the feeling of shyness and that she hasn't been told what to do by the photographer. everything feels calm & easy to look at, these are moments caught in real life, of everyday life from portraitures of people going about there ways to the sun casting light where it wants to cast at what time of the day, its nice to see real life.

Ulrich Gebert, in this image called ' Freischneider '   Translated ( brush cutter ) but I think that might mean hedge or wood cutter, telling by the kit he is wearing on his head. Using dangerous tools to endour in dangerous tasks sculpturing nature.

Comparing the images visually & technically is quiet varied, each image moves from one extreme to the other, the first image by ' Finlay ' showing many different technical aspects from wide angle lens, flash work, digital post production with image stitching and working more colour into the image. Then moving onto the image by ' Glanville ' which moves down a whole new level, firstly the crop is much more intimate & the colours feel very warming, also the expression on her face with her very quaint smile compared to the olympic athlete so involved with what he's doing, with pure concentration on his face and lastly the tight crop portrait of the wood cutter, with only one prop that really shows what he does in his choice of living, also looks like its been shot without the man knowing. in the end there all jobs which are earning them money, but the level of responsibilities are very different. one being a hobby related work, someone who works towards something they love and the feeling of winning and entertaining, the teacher wanting to help with children's future careers & love to help the young and the wood cutter, ( not for me to talk, he might love his job ) but this gives me more of the feeling of making a living & putting wood on the table, but he takes the most risks in his life dealing with dangerous moments.
