  • Landscape of the city changes.
  • Elevated fraught railroad west side of manhattan
  • Alice in wonder land experience
  • Keyhole to another world
  • Never imagined existed
  • Rural experience in the middle of Manhattan
  • The surface of the world & what we do with it tells us a lot about ourselves
  • Out of use railway viaduct.
  • Very marginal use, due to how it looks now.
  • Beautiful, ratty, lovely, untouched for 22 years.


1870,   William Henry Jackson, Western exploration exhibition, Region on the west, geysers & water falls, no-one new such a place existed.

when he bough back the pictures, Congress made Yellowstone into a national park.
